Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is currently recruiting for Medical Assistant in Austin, TX.

Pay: $22 to $24
Type: Three month contract (possibility of an extension or becoming full-time)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM
Location: Austin, TX
Primary Responsibilities:
· Perform all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant’s practice.
· Remove staples from superficial wounds, change wound dressings, and obtain cultures.
· Perform simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collect blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary.
· Perform EKGs.
· Perform quality control checks on equipment.
· Prepare and sterilize medical equipment using the autoclave.
· Room patients according to policy and procedures, prepare patients for examination.
· Record patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
· Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policies.
Qualifications:
· High school graduate or GED equivalent.
· Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
· Current BLS certification
· Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills.
· Knowledge of medical terminology required.
· Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required.
· Good communication and customer service skills required.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
