Payroll Tax Lead

Location: Irving, TX (ON-SITE)

Pay: $50/hr. (Temp to Hire after 90 days)

Adecco is partnering with a global organization to find an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Tax Lead! This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee complex payroll operations, ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax regulations, and drive operational excellence through leadership and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee compliance with all payroll tax regulations, ensuring accurate withholding, depositing, and reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage payroll tax processes for expatriate and inpatriate employees, maintaining full compliance with international requirements.
• Collaborate with HRIS, Benefits, Finance, and Legal teams to integrate payroll systems during mergers and acquisitions.
• Ensure seamless onboarding of acquired employees into payroll systems while safeguarding compliance and accuracy.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll tax accuracy, efficiency, and cost savings.
• Mentor and support payroll tax team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
• Manage third-party consultants to optimize costs and drive service improvements.
• Review and approve payroll tax filings, including 941s, W-2s, and other mandatory reporting.
• Prepare specialized reports and lead payroll tax audits by providing accurate and timely documentation.
• Partner closely with HR, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and resolve complex payroll tax issues.
• Respond promptly to employee inquiries related to payroll taxes, maintaining a high standard of customer service.


What We're Looking For:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
✔ 7+ years of experience in payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, and multi-state payroll operations
✔ Strong knowledge of federal, state, local, and international payroll tax regulations
✔ Experience with ADP Full Service Payroll and ADP Smart Compliance
✔ Experience supporting payroll through mergers and acquisitions highly preferred
✔ Expertise in payroll systems (such as ADP Vantage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
✔ Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
✔ Ability to navigate complex payroll tax issues and develop effective solutions
✔ Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to change
✔ Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality

Pay Details: $50.00 per hour
