Adecco is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our client, a leading employer in New Brunswick, for a temporary position based in Saint John, NB. This role offers an hourly wage between $21-$23 per hour, depending on experience. The position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles, basic bookkeeping, and proficiency in Excel.

- Pay rate: $21-$23/hour based on experience.

- Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:15am-4:30pm
- Job type: Temporary | Full-time
- Hires fast, pays weekly.

- Perform basic bookkeeping functions such as recording financial transactions, assisting in month-end processes, and reconciling accounts.
- Manipulate large datasets, work with complex formulas, and utilize pivot tables to analyze and report financial data.
- Assist with income statements, balance sheets, and other accounting documents. Familiarity with how a chart of accounts functions is beneficial.
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure financial accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Support the accounting team in day-to-day operations, including using Word and PowerPoint for presentation and reporting tasks (Excel is the primary tool).
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR 1-2 years of similar experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and income statements.
- Proficiency in Excel (able to work with large datasets, formulas, and pivot tables).
- Basic bookkeeping experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Word and PowerPoint (Excel is the primary tool).
