Sales Associate

Adecco is currently seeking a Sales Associate to join our client’s vibrant team in Edmonton, AB. This is a part-time temporary position, ideal for someone who enjoys customer interaction and has experience in retail. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from performing Key Holder duties, greeting customers to maintaining the store's overall organization and appearance. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with flexible hours!

• Pay rate: $18/hour.

• Location: Edmonton, AB

• Shifts: Must be available for part-time hours during weekdays and weekends

• Job type: Temporary | Part-time

Responsibilities:

• Performing Key Holder duties, including opening and closing the store and managing cash.

• Greeting customers upon entering the gift shop, ensuring a friendly and welcoming experience.

• Assisting customers with product inquiries and helping them make their purchases.

• Processing transactions using the POS (Point of Sale) system, handling cash and credit/debit transactions.

• Working with the store’s volunteers.

• Inventory duties, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and products are accurately tracked.

• Preparing displays and maintaining the store's aesthetic by ensuring all products are organized and easily accessible.

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.   

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

• Availability to work part-time hours, including weekdays and weekends.

• Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as needed.

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time during shifts.

• Physical ability to lift up to 30lbs as required for stocking and inventory tasks.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

• Excellent communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude and a friendly demeanor.

• A proactive, team-oriented attitude, and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
