Graduation is an exciting – and stressful time. Your hard work has paid off, but now a new journey is just beginning.

Adecco’s advice for graduates of all ages

Embrace curiosity and continuous learning. Seek diverse experiences to grow both personally and professionally. Build a strong network and don't underestimate the power of connections. Be adaptable, resilient, and proactive in pursuing your goals. Stay open-minded and remember that every experience is a chance to learn and progress.

Mauricio Cruz; Rancho Cucamonga, California

Dress to impress. We only receive so many first impression opportunities, let’s start off on the right foot by dressing the part! Another tip, arrive early for your interview, and give yourself sufficient time to allow for unexpected traffic, parking, a restroom break, and even locating the interview location.

Mikayla White; Kansas City, Missouri

Balance is everything: As you start this new chapter, remember that your job isn't your whole life. Make time for friends, hobbies, and rest. Keeping a healthy balance helps you avoid burnout and actually makes you more effective and happier when you are at work and in your personal life.

Fahma Bryant; Lawrenceville, Georgia

Graduation is a milestone, but remember life is a journey filled with continuous learning. Whether you’re 18 or 80, life’s an ever-unfolding adventure! Embrace every moment, learn from every experience, and never let age define your dreams. Remember, it’s never too late to chase a new passion or start a new chapter. So, keep that spirit alive, celebrate your achievement, and let your inner light shine! Your journey is just beginning, and the best is yet to come!

Attitude and preparation are major parts of having a great interview. Go in and be friendly, high energy, and enthusiastic. Speak clearly. Ask questions and listen to the response (don’t just wait for it to be your turn to talk again). Know the company, the ins and outs of the job, and, if possible, look up the interviewer on LinkedIn. Always end with “Have I answered all of your questions fully, or is there anything you’d like me to elaborate on?” Then a heartfelt “Thank you” with a solid handshake and eye contact.
