ESG
We’re a business built on people, committed to making work mean more for our candidates, clients and colleagues. For us, that means rewarding roles, outstanding recruitment services – and a responsibility to raise the bar. As a purpose-led company, we make future-facing commitments to our people and the planet, and honour them with authentic sustainability, community and corporate governance activities – from promoting allyship to achieving carbon neutrality.
TAG ManifestoEnvironmental Sustainability
Since 2022 we have maintained our carbon neutral status. Through offsetting, green energy, and targeted carbon reduction programmes we continue to invest in reducing our carbon footprint.

We're balancing our CO2 emissions and bringing health, conservation and economic benefits to local communities by partnering with:
- The Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary in Cambodia
- The Larimar Windfarm Project in the Dominican Republic
- The Trees for Life charity in the Scottish Highlands

To help us realise our longer-term objectives, our board-sponsored Environment Committee has set out carbon-reducing plans across three key areas:
- Reducing travel, particularly by air
- Cutting onsite energy use
- Replacing company cars with electric vehicles

SOCIAL MOBILITY
As a world leader in recruitment solutions, Adecco has a responsibility to encourage and increase employability for people with under-realised working potential – including refugees, people with disabilities, people with lived experiences of homelessness, and ex-offenders. Our social mobility initiatives spark opportunities for talented individuals and give employers the confidence and tools to hire strong candidates

Unlocking young people’s career potential with Barnardo’s
Our partnership with Barnardo’s, the UK’s largest national children’s charity, uses our proven recruitment expertise to boost young people’s employability and ready them for the world of work.
Adecco and Barnardo’s work hand in hand to raise awareness, support and vital funds for the charity’s Employment, Training and Skills (ETS) programme. The main goal is to reach young people aged 16-24 who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) and help them take their first steps in the professional world. Our teams strengthen these important initial efforts with purpose-built employment, training, and skills workshops. Young people in locations with the most pressing need receive personalised CV, interview, and career guidance from our expert hiring specialists.
In addition to providing targeted career support, the partnership also includes large-scale volunteering and fundraising commitments.

Tent
Refugee mentoring in partnership with Tent
Behind the label of refugee there are valuable skills, work experience and people with much to offer businesses, organisations and local communities. With the right opportunity, employers can benefit from multi-lingual talent that is open to learning.
We understand securing work that feels meaningful and long lasting is the first step towards belonging to a community. Achieving financial autonomy, being part of a team, and finding a place to call home means people stop surviving and start living.
Refugee women face steep barriers when entering a new workforce. In partnership with Tent, our volunteer mentoring programme provides skills, resources, and 1:1 coaching to help women navigate a shifting job market and advance their careers. At Adecco, we continue to push boundaries and strive to set the example so that the future works for everyone.
Removing barriers to employment
Success for everyone
We want a fair working world, where everyone has a clear path to success. Adecco engages with government and industry bodies to advocate regulatory frameworks and policies that open access to opportunity.
Rethinking the Apprenticeship Levy
We believe in a more flexible approach to the Apprenticeship Levy, the funding pot supported by businesses to drive apprenticeship training. To boost upskilling and development, we’re campaigning to give all candidates access to the levy and not just permanent workers.
Championing refugee employment rights
Right now, people seeking asylum in Britain can only apply to work if they’ve been waiting for a decision on their claim for over 12 months. After that, they have to choose from a Shortage Occupations List. We work with the Lift the Ban Coalition to give refugees faster, fairer access to employment.
Developing green skills
The shift to a green economy demands new capabilities. We’re using our unique labour market insights to pinpoint talent shortfalls and provide an accurate picture to government on the green skills needed moving forward.
